Genealogy of John Craven
This book covers the descendants of John Craven and Elizabeth Smith. They married in 1820 at Randolph County, NC but shortly thereafter traveled to GA. By 1823 we find them in Fayette County, then onto Coweta County with them finally settling in Carroll County Ga.
Their children were:
1. William S Craven who married Eliza Ann Wood. I already have a correction to make in the book regarding their youngest child. A.S. is Adaline S. Craven. She died in June 1870 Calhoun County, AL at the age of ten. Verified by the Calhoun County AL Mortality Schedule of 1870.
2. Sarah Annis Craven, called Sally, married Young Hutchens.
3. Samuel meredith Craven married Louisa Adaline Walden and Rebecca Ann Griffin.
4. Barsilla Jane Craven, called Jane, married Enoch Smith.
5. John S. Craven married Martha Cleopatra Henderson, called Patsy.
6. Andrew jackson Craven married mary E. Henderson. A. J. died in 1864 at the Battle of Atlanta.
7. Wilson Lumpkin Craven married Louise A Gentry, and Rebecca Eleanor Gentry.
8. Elizabeth A. L. Craven married Seaborn Walden. She was called Betty.
9. James K P Craven married Annie A. Stewart.
